Western Gospel

    In Jack Hannah's introduction to this collection he says, "Gospel music has played such an important role in shaping our lives from a moral and spiritual standpoint, and in the development of our love and appreciation for harmony singing."  That, in a nutshell, is why they chose to do this terrific album, the Sons of the San Joaquin gospel album.
    The key to their success as a singing group has always been their incredibly melodic harmonies, and they have arranged these wonderful religious songs in the same successful western-style they did their five previous albums.
    In selecting the songs for this release, Jack says, "Frivolous songs with trite lyrics and questionable theology were not taken seriously." 
    Produced by the very knowledgeable Joey Miskulin, the album includes Miskulin's masterful accordion work, the superior acoustic guitar of the great Rich O'Brien, and a special guest performance by the legendary Dale Evans.
    These three incomparable singers, Jack Hannah, Joe Hannah, and Lon Hannah know their gospel songs and they know how to deliver inspiring and beautiful music, no matter what kind of songs they are singing.  If you love gospel music, you'll have to have this album, and if you just love great singing and delightful harmonies, you'll be hurting yourself if you don't have it.
